Harvest is located in Madison County, Alabama with a population of 5,893. The area was originally part of Cherokee lands until the early 1800’s. It had been a settled community for many thousands of years prior to this. People often find artifacts of this early settlement including pottery, arrow heads and various Native American tools in the area.

North Alabama Railroad Museum – The North Alabama Railroad Museum features a collection of rolling stock, a small train station, and a small heritage railroad called the Mercury and Chase Railroad which operates between April and December.
